Roadtrip 2022 Fall: Richland - Boise - Ely - Kanab - Sedona - Joshua Tree - Paso Robles - Calistoga - Brookings - Cannon Beach

Day 15 - Rain Day: Crescent Moon Ranch

It's a different view today - from our indoor coffee/lunch perch.

The run-in to Sedona is a little damp today. It's cold and we may get some snow tonight.

The approach to Crescent Moon Ranch never gets old.

The view once inside Crescent Moon Ranch never gets old.

Crazy weather days can also yield the most incredible light and sky.

Textures abound - while the red rocks keep a watchful eye.

The Team patrols Crescent Moon.

Leaves are starting to fall - but the green is hanging around. We need to pop back here in a week or so - for the max fall effect.

Ella on the range.

Sedona's high rent district.

Solitaire.

While the snow falls outside, we are cozy warm and eating a meal to remember at - where else?? - Elote of course. A nod of thanks here to our friend and colleague Joaquin Pedrero - who educated us about the wonder of huitlacoche - aka corn fungus or corn smut. In the hands of a skilled chef - it is a delicious delicacy. When presented tonight as a special huitlacoche enchilada appie - we could not turn down the opportunity!
